Epilepsy UpDate Dinner

The Epilepsy Update Dinner program is an opportunity to increase knowledge on epilepsy and available treatments, improve the ability of patients to communicate effectively with health care providers, and to provide epilepsy self-management trainings and knowledge of community resources.

Joining us will be Dr. Shawn M. Whitton from Aurora Health Center. Dr. Whitton will be presenting "Women & Epilepsy" at the Holiday Inn in Manitowoc. Cost is $7 for clients/consumers, $12 for professionals; dinner is included.

FUNNE is an educational workshop for Spanish-speaking parents of children with special needs.

Presenting this month will be Gilberto Gutierrez, child psychotherapist, who will discuss the importance of physical, mental, and emotional health in children. Following the presentation will be a question and answer session.

Fox Valley Stroll For Epilepsy

Join individuals and families supporting epilepsy awareness in Wisconsin! This one-mile stroll in Memorial Park is a great way to enjoy the outdoors while raising awareness of epilepsy, supporting individual services, and increasing community education and research in hopes of soon finding a cure.

The Epilepsy Foundation Heart of Wisconsin is a non-profit organization. Funds raised will be used locally to provide services and education to individuals with epilepsy and their families and offer seizure recognition and first aid training to the community.

Sharon’s Ride.Run.Walk.

We’re bringing Sharon’s Ride.Run.Walk back to Dane County! Join us for a ride to increase epilepsy awareness in Wisconsin by signing up for a 5 or 10 mile ride along scenic Capital City and Military Ridge State bike trails, and Cannonball Path in Dane County. Passing through woods, wetlands and prairies, the route will surely help you relax while getting a good workout!
