FUNNE (Familias Unidas con Niños con Necesidades Especiales) is an education workshop for Spanish-speaking parents and caregivers of children with special needs.

Joining us this month will be Julio Garciá, a bilingual housing resource specialist. Julio will discuss rental rights and responsibilities, and offer information on resources on housing counseling. Following the presentation will be a question and answer session.

Epilepsy UpDate Dinner

The Epilepsy UpDate Dinner program is an opportunity to increase knowledge on epilepsy and available treatments, improve the ability of patients to communicate effectively with health care providers, and to provide epilepsy self-management training and knowledge of community resources.

Joining us will be Dr. Dalila Lewis from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Lewis will be presenting "Epilepsy - It’s a Family Affair: Managing Expectations & Addressing Difficult Topics" at George’s Steak House in Appleton. Dr. Lewis will also cover Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) and Sudden Death in the Young (SDY). Cost is $7 for individuals with epilepsy, $12 for professionals; dinner is included.
